Today’s blog is more of an update than a blog. We want everyone to know that, as of June 1st, 2021, our courses will be changing. This is to keep up with the new ASQA standards under which we operate.
The most obvious change will the be the course codes.
CPR: HLTAID001 -> HLTAID009
Basic life Support: HLTAID002 -> HLTAID010
First Aid: HLTAID003 -> HLTAID011
Education and Child Care: HLTAID004 -> HLTAID012
Remote First Aid: HLTAID005 -> HLTAID013
Advanced First Aid: HLTAID006 -> HLTAID014
Advanced Resuscitation: HLTAID007 -> HLTAID015
Manage First Aid and Resources: HLTAID008 -> HLTAID016
LVR (with CPR) should remain the same (UETTDRRFO6).
There are also some big changes to our Advanced Resuscitation (AR) course. The requirements for certification for AR have changed and we have had to extend how long the course takes. It is now a full day course, starting at 8:30 AM and ending at approximately 2 PM. We will no longer be offering AR on Tuesdays because of the new time requirements. AR courses will now be twice a month on Wednesdays.
Perhaps the most important part to booking the new AR course is that you will now be required to have a current First Aid (HLTAID011) course in order to be certified. You will be required to provide a copy of that certificate to First Aid Brisbane before your course starts. We cannot, and will not, certify any Advanced Resuscitation participant who has not provided a valid, current certificate for First Aid (HLTAID011).
As usual, all of our courses (with the exception of the Mange First Aid & Resources) include CPR (HLTAID009) and both physical and email copies of your certificate will be provided upon completion of your course. All courses are nationally accredited
