First Aid Brisbane ensure that by completing this course it will give you confidence to help in a life-saving and adding an AED increases the person’s chances of survival if started soon after the heart has stopped beating.
If no CPR is performed, it only takes three to ten minutes for the person to become brain dead due to a lack of oxygen.
Using your CPR skills taught to you in your First Aid Course, you will understand the importance to help circulate the blood so it can provide oxygen to the body, and the brain and other organs stay alive while you wait for the ambulance.
Helping someone does not guarantee that the person will survive. We know helping someone does give that person a chance of survival. Especially when otherwise there would have been none your help is a start to a possibility of survival.
Why should we use an AED - Automated External Defibrillator
Using an AED in conjunction with compressions of 30 compressions to 2 breaths will give increased chance at an opportunity of recovery. AED is included in your course as per mandatory requirements.
