Emergency First Response Instructor
 

Emergency First Response Corp., a PADI corporate affiliate, offers the Emergency First Response CPR and first aid program.

What can I do?
As an Emergency First Response Instructor, you can conduct Emergency First Response Primary (CPR) and  Secondary Care (first aid) courses.

What do I need to start?
· · Emergency First Response certification or qualifying certification from another certification organization

What will I do?
You’ll learn how to conduct the Emergency First Response Primary Care (CPR) and Emergency First Response Secondary Care (first aid) courses. You’ll also learn to conduct the recommended Automated External Defibrillator (AED), emergency oxygen and conscious choking management skills.

How long will it take?
· The Emergency First Response Basic First Aid Instructor Course takes approximately 5 with the full Workplace Instructor requiring 10 Days. 

. The Emergency First Response Workplace First Aid Instructor Course takes approximately an additional 5-10 Days additional tertiary requirements may be required prior to completing the courses and need to be met prior to start of course.

Emergency First Response Basic First Aid Instructor Course:

During the Emergency First Response Instructor course, you will build on your skill as an Emergency Responder and focus on developing your instructional abilities to teach these skills to others.

The Instructor course provides you with the additional training necessary to teach the Emergency First Response Primary Care (CPR), Secondary Care (First Aid) and Care for Children courses. (Region-specific courses including First Aid at Work Asia Pacific require additional training.)

Through a multi-media approach of independent study, classroom sessions and practical teaching assignments, you learn to conduct Emergency First Response basic first aid courses.

The instructor course covers specific goals and performance requirements for the Primary Care, Secondary Care and Care for Children courses, along with instruction on how to structure learning, the requirements of performance-based training, and your role as the instructor in the learning environment.

You also learn how to motivate students, evaluate student knowledge, present course content effectively, become proficient in developing students' hands-on skills practice sessions, and are taught how to present an effective scenario-based learning experience.

Course Structure:
Our training manuals follow current emergency care guidelines and have gained acceptance around the world. In addition, our award-winning video features realistic lay-rescuer scenarios and is designed for independent study. You can help others by teaching lay rescuers life-saving techniques that they can use during a medical emergency.

You have the convenience and flexibility within the EFR programs that our adult, child and infant CPR, AED and First Aid courses can be taught together or alone in any combination.

Emergency First Response Instructor course is conducted over a 5 day period of classroom, home study, assignments, presentations and practical’s.

Emergency First Response Workplace Instructor Course:

Must have Certificate IV in Training and Assessment to complete this course.
