This course applies to
electrical trades, particularly
in situations where live
work is performed.
While particularly relevant
for
electricians,
it is also relevant
for persons
working in any
industry where
contact with electrical components,
wiring or
machinery is likely.

Course Content
This course provides the participant
with the skills on how
to manage the
danger of accidental
electrocution and provide
resuscitation
to a person who has stopped breathing
or is
unconscious due to electrical shock.

Prerequisites
CPR is a prerequisite of the
LVR001
unit and is included in this course.
Participants
should have
numeracy
and literacy skills equivalent to the
Australian Core
Skills Framework
Level
2.
Assessment Methods
Progressive
assessment throughout
the course,
including
demonstration of practical skills and written and oral questions
relating to underpinning knowledge.
Award
Issued
A nationally-recognised Statement of
Attainment will be issued to all successful participants.
In Queensland
this course is valid for
a period of 6 months in accordance
with the Queensland Electrical Safety
Regulation 2002. The
CPR component is valid for
12 months in accordance
with ARC Guidelines. |
